September — "Thick glasses,” 24 plain tumblers on six wooden shelves, each shelf filled with different kinds of paint, including watercolor, acrylic, and oil , all in primary colors, group show at the Kenkelaba Gallery, N.Y.C., NY.

1980

January — “Six Posts: Part II,” site work, cliff face, N.W. Portland, OR. A continuation of the 1977 piece. The six posts were unearthed and laid end to end with large eye hooks and dragged up the hillside where they again delineated an uneven terrain. These remained until developers began work on the property. Both pieces were documented with analogue photo snapshots.
